EMAIL A GROUP IN ONE STEP
Create a list of people you email
frequently.

If In Outlook Express, choose
Addresses > New > Group and type a
name for your group. Click
Select Members to add people from
your address list to the group and click
OK to save it. In the future, type
the group name in the 'To' line of an
email to send your message to everyone
in the group.

RENAME GROUPS OF PHOTOS
Make short work of organizing your
photos.
To rename a group of related photos in
one step, select them, right-click and
choose Rename. Type a name
like 'Spain2006' and press [Enter].
Windows XP will automatically name the
files Spain2006, Spain2006(1),
Spain2006(2) and so on. Large
groups of photos can be renamed quickly.

VIEW FILES BY THEIR FEATURES
Display grouped files in Windows
Explorer.
Group similar files together in Windows
Explorer by right-clicking an empty area
of a folder window and choosing
Arrange Icons By > Show in Groups.
Choose the 'Arrange Icons By'
option and then select a grouping, such
as Type or Modified.
You can also choose to display your
groups as Icons, Details, Thumbnails
and more, depending on your preference.

PUT PROGRAMS IN HANDY PLACES
Attach a program icon to the top of the
Start menu.
Fix a program to the top portion of the
Start menu (where it will remain
permanently), by right-clicking the
program name and choosing 'Pin to
Start Menu'. This way, it will
always be visible and easy to find.
