Windows XP has some really exciting tools to help you work with music and movies – either for business or pleasure.


Windows XP Media Player

With the Windows XP Media Player, you can play and organize music and videos on your computer and on the internet.

To start the Windows Media Player, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Windows Media Player.  Choose the Getting Started option from the Help menu in Windows Media Player to find out more.
 

My Music folder

When you work with the Windows XP Media Player, any tracks you copy from a music CD to your computer will go into you’re my Music folder.  To get to this folder, choose My Music from the Start menu.

When you view this folder, you will see each album you have copied tracks displayed as a separate folder.  The folder will even have the albums’ cover art shown in the folder icon to make it easy to identify.
 

Windows Movie Maker

Windows XP Movie Maker is a great tool to help you create, edit and share the movies you make with either an analogue or digital video camera.  When your movies are complete, you can view them and share them with friends and colleagues using Windows Media Player.  You can even play them within a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

To start Windows Movie Maker, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories . Windows Movie Maker.  Choose Help Topics from the Help menu to find out more.
