Home Wireless Network Setup

A wireless network at your home will provide you and your family with the ability to use their computers and wireless devices wherever they want to use them. They will be able to access the Internet and anything shared on your home network from anywhere.

Home wireless networks can be tricky to setup for the average home computer user. Behind the scenes, the technology needed to send large amounts of data through the air is highly complex. While manufacturers of the hardware needed to create a wireless network have made the setup of their products easier, many people still end up frustrated because they can’t get things connected properly.

We have setup thousands of wireless networks for home computer users since 2006. You can count on our wireless network setup service to create a fast and reliable wireless network in your home.

Small Business Wireless Network Setup

A wireless network for your small business is cost-effective, it scales easily, and it provides employees a flexibility that might just make them more productive.

Today, many small businesses don’t bother with the hassle and expense associated with running cables through the walls of their offices or building. Why go through all of that when you can simply install a few additional pieces of hardware and provide your entire small business with a network and Internet connection?

There are many advantages to setting up a wireless network for a small business. It is easier to setup, and you can easily add more users as needed. As well, you and your employees can remain connected to the company network and the Internet while you move around the office—just pick up your laptop or tablet and go. Finally, you have the ability to quickly provide guests with Internet access.

Steps to Creating a Powerful and Reliable Wireless Network

  1. Choose the right, high-quality wireless router. The wireless router is the most important part of your wireless network. We don’t recommend buying low-end routers.
  2. Determine if you need wireless access points (WAPs) to extend the range and strength of your wireless network. You will probably need a WAP if you want to send a stronger signal through floors, through thick walls, or through many walls, or if your office is more than 600 feet across.
  3. Make sure that all of your computers and devices have the proper wireless adapters installed. The wireless adapters should be higher quality and match the specifications of your router. Depending on your situation, your current wireless adapters could work just fine with your new wireless router.
  4. Lock it down. If it isn’t setup properly, your wireless network can be seen and used, or hacked, by the public. The networking experts at RescuTechs has over a decade of experience with securing wireless networks.
A properly setup wireless network makes it easy to get your employees connected and online. It provides them with the flexibility work on any wireless computer or device, and from any location within your office.

RescuTechs has setup thousands of wireless networks since we opened our doors in 2006. You can count on us to setup a wireless network at your small business that is both powerful and reliable.
